Facilities
AlphaLit occupies a secure, 150,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that accommodates more than 300 processing computers for electronic discovery, optical character recognition and other image processes. This entire infrastructure is supported on our gigabit network backbone and, in case of emergency, back-up power is provided by our natural gas powered generating systems. Thirty high-capacity scanners that convert in excess of 2 million images daily support our paper discovery services. Twenty-five high-speed printers are capable of producing more than one million blowbacks each day. The AlphaLit facility also has electronically secured, vaulted storage and secure server space for over 100 terabytes.

History
Founded in the 1980's as the litigation support services division of Alpha Systems, a leading provider of scanning and document management services for healthcare providers, AlphaLit earned its reputation as an industry leader having converted 3.5 billion electronic and paper documents into accurate, manageable and usable information.

The path to becoming the nation's leader in electronic and paper discovery is notable for significant milestones in technology and innovation.

1980's
  • Developed methods to capture and print engineering drawings for discovery
  • Developed a repository and "on demand" printing for production and witness preparation
1990
  • Began mass production scanning along with OCR and barcode technology
1993
  • Initiated the concept of replacing photocopying with scanning and laser printing (digital copying)
1994
